General Thoughts:

Tom Crean's Fresh Irish Lager is a really light, refreshing beer, with an all round crispness to it. This beer is very clean on the palette and leaves you with a nice refreshed feeling. This is a very enjoyable lager and it holds a place in my heart coming from the Dingle brewing company, from such a lovely part of the world. This beer doesn't pack a huge punch in flavour, however it is everything that you would expect from a lager and is full of flavour for a lager. Tom Crean's Fresh Irish Lager has a very subtle flavour and is not overly strong in alcohol taste. This is a respectable beer coming in at 4.2% ABV, which doesn't let you down in flavour or an overall experience. This is a mellow beer, with little carbonation. On the whole this beer is a very enjoyable beer,that provides a fresh, crisp taste, that makes you want to keep drinking it. This beer provides so much more than other main stream lagers would provide, this beer stands above other lagers and this is another reason why I would pick this beer over main stream lagers. On the whole this is a great, refreshing beer, that I would recommend to everyone.

Hey Everyone, Sorry there hasn't been a post in a couple of days, Been really busy, however I am now back and bring you a Great beer review this evening, I hope you all enjoy :) !!!

Strong Hops, Citrus, Slight Bitterness, Full Flavour, Smooth, Refreshing

General Thoughts:

Crew IPA is an absolutely fantastic beer, with its deep, full flavours and high hop content. This is a beer that has a strong hops flavour, bringing with it a great bitterness, however this beer is not overly bitter and has a slight sweetness to balance it out. The flavour of this beer is not overpowering at all, its just bursting with character and flavour. There is also a slight citrus note to this beer, which helps to give it that refreshing quality that is a great attribute in my eyes for a beer. Crew IPA is a really smooth beer, with little carbonation. If you are a lover of IPA's or other strong hopped beers then this would definitely be a beer that I would recommend to you.  This is a seriously good beer, packed full of rich, deep flavours. There is also a slight bitter after taste to this beer, which gives it a moreish quality, making you want to go back for more and more. I cannot recommend this beer highly enough, on the whole a really fantastic beer, bursting with flavour. This is definitely one to try, so get out there and buy yourself one, I promise you won't be disappointed.

#9 Not Quite Pale Ale !!!

Hey Everyone, Sorry there hasn't been a post in a couple of days, it was my Birthday and was out celebrating this weekend, however I am now back and bring you a really interesting beer review this evening, I hope you all enjoy :) !!!

General Thoughts:

#9 Not Quite Pale Ale is a really interesting beer. This beer is a really light, refreshing beer, with a distinguishable fruity flavour to it. There is a real taste of Apricots / Peaches to this beer, which you may think is an odd and somewhat distracting flavour to a beer, however it is subtle enough that it doesn't detract from the actual beer flavour from the hops and malt. If you think you wont like it because I have said Apricot / Peaches, honestly give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised with this beer. This is also a nice smooth beer, with little carbonation. One of the best things about this beer is the refreshing quality that it has, this would be a perfect summer beer. #9 Not Quite Pale Ale is a really unique and different beer, something that will surprise you, it is an easy drinking beer, one that you could keep going back to. This beer is not overpowering in anyway and has a nice mid range 5.1% ABV, which is great. On the whole this is a really interesting, great, full flavoured beer, that will really surprise your taste buds on that first sip. I was really surprised with this beer, it wasn't what I was expecting and i'm really happy for the surprise. I would recommend this beer to everyone as a beer that would be enjoyed on a hot summers day.

General Thoughts:

Barefoot Bohemian is a very interesting beer, with is really light characteristics. This is a really refreshing, smooth beer that is really delicate in flavour. There is little carbonation to this beer, but an overall well balanced flavour. There is a slight bitterness to this beer from the hops, however not very strong compared to more hop heavy beers, there is also a slight sweetness to this beer, which really helps to balance out the beer and also to balance that bitterness from the hops, creating a nice flavour, delicate beer. Barefoot Bohemian also has a citrus quality to it, there is a underlying flavour of lemon which I find makes the beer really refreshing. This is a beer that you could keep going back to for more and more as it is so light and refreshing. This beer was really different to what I was expecting, I wasn't expecting this beer to really stand out in any way, however I should have known better coming from the Eight Degrees Brewery. On the whole this is a really nice beer, light in flavour, with a real refreshing, citrus feel to it. I would definitely recommend this beer. Another great beer from the Eight Degrees Brewery.

Happy New Year: Celebration Stout !!!

Hey Everyone, So the New Year countdown begins and it only seems fitting that a special beer be on show today, so today we are in Dublin, Ireland, the place I will be celebrating New Year, so I hope you all enjoy !!!

General Thoughts:

Celebration Stout is a really smooth, full flavoured beer, with deep, rich, roasted malt flavours. There is a strong bitterness to this beer, coming from what I recon is a roasted malt. There is also a bitter after taste to this beer, which for me works in its favour as it leaves you wanting to go back for more. This beer is not overpowering as it is well balanced, however you are aware of the beers strength and there is a slight alcohol taste to this beer, which isn't surprising as it is a modest 7% ABV. Celebration Stout is an indulgent beer, that should be enjoyed slowly, this is not a session beer, or a beer to drink in excess, but rather a beer that should be enjoyed on a special occasion, a special occasion like New Years Eve. The name definitely reflects this beer, a special beer to bring out when there is something to celebrate. On the whole Celebration Stout is a really tasty beer, full flavoured, with a moreish quality that keeps you interested. This is a beer to be enjoyed slowly and is a really nice beer, also has a warming quality to it. All in all I was very impressed with Celebration Stout and would recommend this beer to everyone to bring in that New Year.

Raging Bitch IPA !!!

General Thoughts:

Raging Bitch is a really delicious beer, deep, full flavours, everything that I look for in a great beer. This beer is really refreshing as well as having a slightly sweet, citrus note to it. There is a strong flavour of hops to this IPA also, which is something I really love in beer and this beer definitely doesn't disappoint. There is very little carbonation to this beer, but the most outstanding attribute of this beer is the well balanced flavour. You would expect a beer with an 8.3% abv to taste really alcoholic, however this beer doesn't at all, it is very well balanced and before you know it your looking for your next bottle. Raging Bitch also has a moreish quality to it, making you want to go back for more after every mouth full, which to me just makes it a fantastic beer. On the whole Raging Bitch was a huge surprise as it packs a real punch, yet is so well balanced. This is an outstanding beer and one that I would certainly recommend to everyone and would buy on a regular occasion. Great tasting, fantastic flavour, all round great beer. A big congratulations needs to go to the Flying Dog brewery, really great beer.
