The Christmas Countdown Arrives !!!!

Hey Everyone, So tonight's post is going to be an introduction to a New Special Feature on the Genuine Beer Blog. December is now here, which means the cold winter nights are arriving thick and fast, as well as the Christmas Shopping and the major preparations that go into Christmas. The new special feature is called

"THE CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN"

The concept of this special feature is to talk about all things Christmas and the preparations that you will all be putting in place for the festivities to come. This feature will include a whole host of different blog posts ranging from

• The 12 Beers of Christmas
• Christmas Gift Ideas
• Reviews on the best places to go over the Christmas Period

As well as a whole lot more. Now the other main thing that I would like to get out of this new feature is all of my readers input. I want to know all about

• Your Favourite Xmas Beers
• Your Favourite things to do over the Xmas Period
• Your Favourite Places to go
• Your suggestions of places to go and things to do
• Tell us all how your Xmas preparations are going or if there is any advise that you would like
• Your Festive Pictures

It would be so good to try and get all of the readers of the Genuine Beer Blog talking about their individual experiences of Christmas and sharing them with each other. Now this will only work if you all get involved so don't be shy.

For all of your Xmas / Wintry Pictures please send them to

Put your Name and a Description of the picture and I will share them all with the rest of the Readers of this blog.

It's Arriving........ Friday Favourites !!!!

Hey everyone so today's post is about a new weekly feature that will be coming to the Genuine Beer Blog, The Friday Favourites. 

This is a new weekly feature that will be running on the blog that will highlight the best aspects of certain areas each week. There will be a variety of different features each week including,

• Beer of the Week
• My blog choice of the week
• Readers Blog of the week

As well as others. This is my way of getting all of my readers of the Genuine Beer Blog involved in the blog and helping to highlight other great blogs that are out there and also other great beers that are available to us all.

So to kick off the Friday Favourites this week I will be looking at my beer of the week. This will give all the details of the beer, as well as the reasons I have picked it as my beer of the week and some other general information on the beer itself.

I would then like to look at doing Readers Blog of the Week, now in order for me to do this I need all of your Blog suggestions and reasons for the nominations. Once I have a fair few I will go through them all and pick one that stands out for me and will do a feature on that blog. I feel this would be a good opportunity to give your favourite blog some publicity. A Nomination Sheet follows below.

There are also a couple of other new aspects of the Genuine Beer Blog that I thought I would inform you all of. There is now a feedback button on the navi bar above. This will take you to a page that will allow you to do two things:

• Beer Suggestions
• General Feedback on the Genuine Beer Blog

From here you can suggest beers that you would like to suggest for review, or just to suggest your favourite beers that you think everyone should know about. This would be a huge help to me if you all get involved and suggest some great beers.

The second part is an opportunity to give general feedback on the Genuine Beer Blog itself. This would be really helpful for me to see areas that I can improve on or nice to hear things were doing right.

Finally I have recently written an article for The Drinks Business website, this is a great resource for all the latest news in relation to the drinks business, very good website. Here is a link to the article that I wrote. There will be more to follow.

Beer Suggestions and Blog Feedback !!!!

Hey everyone, today I am looking to get all you viewers involved in the Genuine Beer Blog, I'm looking to get some feedback on the blog but I also want to get everyone involved in terms of Beer Suggestions.

I'm looking to get some suggestions from you all for some great beers that are out there for me to review on this blog. These can be your favorites, that you want to share with the other people and share the love for a great beer, or they can be beers that you are looking to get reviewed to see whether it would be a worthwhile purchase in the future.

The feedback form is comprised of two pages, the first being the feedback on the blog page and the second beer suggestions. You can get access to this form below, it is also available on the right sidebar, but will be added to the main toolbar above.
