Hey Everyone, So today's beer review comes from the familiar brewery of BrewDog, I think they are an exciting brewery with a huge range to offer, so I hope you enjoy today's post : ) !!!

General Thoughts:

Dogma is a really deep, full flavoured beer, with a real dynamic depth of flavour to it. There are flavours of coffee and chocolate coming from the roasted malt in the beer, but there is also a slight sweet edge, a taste of honey, giving this beer an incredible balance. This beer has a bitter after taste, giving you that moreish quality, which I think is key to a great beer. There is a coffee lingering after taste, a real malty depth to the beer, which is a pleasure to drink. Dogma doesn't taste overly alcoholic, which is a great surprise considering it comes in with an ABV of 7.4%. This plays in the beers favour massively as you don't feel that you are drinking something with a real kick to it, due to its perfect balance of bitter and sweet. This is a very rich, indulgent beer, which is great for a beer that could be cracked open on a special occasion. On the whole Dogma is a really great, deep, rich, full flavoured beer, with complex bitterness and sweetness to help make an overall balanced beer. This is definitely a must try beer, but I also think its one to be savoured for a rainy day, it will bring a smile to your face, especially with its warming quality. All in all a fantastic beer that will leave you not only feeling refreshed, but also deeply satisfied.

Affligem Blonde !!!

Hey Everyone, Apologies for no post yesterday I was having a dinner party with @e_boyler and @BoyleMeetsWorld, thank you guys was a really nice evening. The Beer on review tonight is actually one that was brought to the dinner party last night, Hope you all enjoy !!!

Amber / Blonde Beer

General Thoughts:

Affligem Blonde is a very nice, refreshing beer, which is light and mellow in flavour. There is a slight hops flavour to the beer, but not overly. This beer also has a fruity quality to it, with a slight citrus note to it. This beer is of medium carbonation, which gives it that refreshing quality along with the citrus notes. There is a slight yeast taste to the beer, which to me comes from the second fermentation that the beer goes through in the bottle, this also means that when you first open the bottle it can be quite carbonated, so watch out it doesn't go everywhere. Affligem is a really enjoyable beer, its biggest surprise is that it doesn't taste overly alcoholic considering it comes in at a 6.8% ABV. You would expect it to be very strong, however it is a really well balanced beer, with slight bitterness and a slight sweetness to bring the whole thing together. On the whole Affligem is a really nice, refreshing beer, with a slight bitter after taste, giving that moreish quality to the beer. This is a very enjoyable beer and one that you would find yourself drinking a good few of. All in all a very good, enjoyable beer, that I would recommend giving a try.

Tom Crean's Fresh Irish Lager !!!

General Thoughts:

Tom Crean's Fresh Irish Lager is a really light, refreshing beer, with an all round crispness to it. This beer is very clean on the palette and leaves you with a nice refreshed feeling. This is a very enjoyable lager and it holds a place in my heart coming from the Dingle brewing company, from such a lovely part of the world. This beer doesn't pack a huge punch in flavour, however it is everything that you would expect from a lager and is full of flavour for a lager. Tom Crean's Fresh Irish Lager has a very subtle flavour and is not overly strong in alcohol taste. This is a respectable beer coming in at 4.2% ABV, which doesn't let you down in flavour or an overall experience. This is a mellow beer, with little carbonation. On the whole this beer is a very enjoyable beer,that provides a fresh, crisp taste, that makes you want to keep drinking it. This beer provides so much more than other main stream lagers would provide, this beer stands above other lagers and this is another reason why I would pick this beer over main stream lagers. On the whole this is a great, refreshing beer, that I would recommend to everyone.

Hey Everyone, Sorry there hasn't been a post in a couple of days, Been really busy, however I am now back and bring you a Great beer review this evening, I hope you all enjoy :) !!!

General Thoughts:

Crew IPA is an absolutely fantastic beer, with its deep, full flavours and high hop content. This is a beer that has a strong hops flavour, bringing with it a great bitterness, however this beer is not overly bitter and has a slight sweetness to balance it out. The flavour of this beer is not overpowering at all, its just bursting with character and flavour. There is also a slight citrus note to this beer, which helps to give it that refreshing quality that is a great attribute in my eyes for a beer. Crew IPA is a really smooth beer, with little carbonation. If you are a lover of IPA's or other strong hopped beers then this would definitely be a beer that I would recommend to you.  This is a seriously good beer, packed full of rich, deep flavours. There is also a slight bitter after taste to this beer, which gives it a moreish quality, making you want to go back for more and more. I cannot recommend this beer highly enough, on the whole a really fantastic beer, bursting with flavour. This is definitely one to try, so get out there and buy yourself one, I promise you won't be disappointed.

#9 Not Quite Pale Ale !!!

Hey Everyone, Sorry there hasn't been a post in a couple of days, it was my Birthday and was out celebrating this weekend, however I am now back and bring you a really interesting beer review this evening, I hope you all enjoy :) !!!

General Thoughts:

#9 Not Quite Pale Ale is a really interesting beer. This beer is a really light, refreshing beer, with a distinguishable fruity flavour to it. There is a real taste of Apricots / Peaches to this beer, which you may think is an odd and somewhat distracting flavour to a beer, however it is subtle enough that it doesn't detract from the actual beer flavour from the hops and malt. If you think you wont like it because I have said Apricot / Peaches, honestly give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised with this beer. This is also a nice smooth beer, with little carbonation. One of the best things about this beer is the refreshing quality that it has, this would be a perfect summer beer. #9 Not Quite Pale Ale is a really unique and different beer, something that will surprise you, it is an easy drinking beer, one that you could keep going back to. This beer is not overpowering in anyway and has a nice mid range 5.1% ABV, which is great. On the whole this is a really interesting, great, full flavoured beer, that will really surprise your taste buds on that first sip. I was really surprised with this beer, it wasn't what I was expecting and i'm really happy for the surprise. I would recommend this beer to everyone as a beer that would be enjoyed on a hot summers day.

General Thoughts:

Barefoot Bohemian is a very interesting beer, with is really light characteristics. This is a really refreshing, smooth beer that is really delicate in flavour. There is little carbonation to this beer, but an overall well balanced flavour. There is a slight bitterness to this beer from the hops, however not very strong compared to more hop heavy beers, there is also a slight sweetness to this beer, which really helps to balance out the beer and also to balance that bitterness from the hops, creating a nice flavour, delicate beer. Barefoot Bohemian also has a citrus quality to it, there is a underlying flavour of lemon which I find makes the beer really refreshing. This is a beer that you could keep going back to for more and more as it is so light and refreshing. This beer was really different to what I was expecting, I wasn't expecting this beer to really stand out in any way, however I should have known better coming from the Eight Degrees Brewery. On the whole this is a really nice beer, light in flavour, with a real refreshing, citrus feel to it. I would definitely recommend this beer. Another great beer from the Eight Degrees Brewery.
