St Peter's Organic Ale

Hey guys and girls, so I thought I would review a slightly different beer tonight. I have gone for an Organic beer. Hope you all enjoy !!! Don't forget to check out the Feedback and Beer Suggestion Page above. Thanks for all the support :)

Beer Name:
St Peter's Organic Ale
Brewery:
St Peter's Brewery
Brewed and Bottled:
St Peter's Brewery, St Peter's Hall,
Bungay, Suffolk, NR35 1NQ, UK
Alcoholic Percentage:
4.5% Vol
Measure:
500ml
Taste:
Bitter After Taste, Earthy,
Refreshing, Crisp, Smooth
Colour:
Light Golden Orange, Honey
Odour:
Slight Hops
General Thoughts:
St Peter's Organic Ale is a nice crisp beer, smooth tasting, with a slight bitter after taste. This beer is mellow in taste, not overpowering in any way. It has a nice refreshing quality which would make it a perfect match for the summer when the weather is warmer rather than this time of the year.
The downside to this beer is that it doesn't have any real outstanding flavours, nothing that makes it stand out of the crowd. I also think its quite expensive due to it being organic and don't really think its worth the extra you would pay.
On the whole this is a nice beer that I would buy again but not one that I would necessarily rush to buy.

Price:
€3.29 ( Based on Dublin Tesco 06/11/2012)

Belfast Blonde

Hey everyone, so today I have gone for a brewery that I didn't know a lot about until now and one of their beers that I have only just discovered. I hope you all enjoy !!!! :)

Beer Name:
Belfast Blonde
Brewery:
College Greene Brewery
Brewed and Bottled:
College Greene Brewery,
1 College Greene Mews, Belfast
Alcoholic Percentage:
4.3% Vol
Measure:
500ml
Taste:
Slight Hops, Mellow, Smooth,
Very Slight Bitterness, Refreshing
Colour:
Golden Orange, Light
Odour:
Very Slight Hops
General Thoughts:
Belfast Blonde is a very refreshing, light beer, which is smooth to drink and very light on hops. This means that the beer is not very bitter or astringent, making it a more refreshing beer. On the whole this was a nice beer, something that would go down well on a hot summers day, however it doesn't have any distinguishing features that help it to stand out from the crowd. If your looking for something that is refreshing but not strong in flavour then this is a beer for you.

Price:
€2.99 ( Based on Drink Store 02/11/2012)

Torpedo Extra IPA

Hey everyone so its Sunday nearly Monday :( which means the weekend is nearly over, however this doesn't mean the fun has to end, so here is a beer all the way from the USA, hope you all enjoy :)
Beer Name:
Torpedo Extra IPA
Brewery:
Sierra Nevada
Brewed and Bottled:
Sierra Nevada, Chico, CA, USA
Alcoholic Percentage:
7.2% Vol
Measure:
350ml
Taste:
Hops, Bitter, Smooth, Full Flavoured,
Bitter After Taste
Colour:
Honey, Golden Orange/Brown
Odour:
Citrus, Slight Hops, Slight Floral Note
General Thoughts:

Torpedo Extra IPA is a full bodied, full flavoured beer. This beer is rich in Hops, however it doesn't come across as over powering. The impressing thing about this beer is that there is a real balance between bitterness and sweetness, even though there is a real strong hops taste. The other major surprise is that this beer doesn't taste overly strong considering its strength, it is a real delight to drink. I would highly recommend this beer, a really nice, balanced beer with the strength subtly behind it all, brilliant. It really packs a punch in flavour but not overpowering in strength.

€3.00(Based on Drink Store 02/11/2012)

BrewDog's 5 a.m Saint

Hey everyone, hope your all having a great weekend and enjoying some great beers too. Today's beer of choice comes from Scotland, UK. I hope you all enjoy : )
Beer Name:
5 a.m Saint
Brewery:
BrewDog
Brewed and Bottled:
BrewDog, Fraserburgh,
Scotland, AB43 8UE
Alcoholic Percentage:

Strong Hops, Slight Bitterness,
Full Flavoured, Rich, Malty, Bitter after taste.
Colour:
Light Brown, Dark Caramel/Amber
Odour:
Hoppy
General Thoughts:
BrewDog's 5 a.m Saint is a strong flavoured beer which is
heavy on the hops. This beer leaves a bitter after taste but not unpleasant. I am a real fan of high hopped, rich beers and this beer is one that fits the bill for me. A really nice beer that doesn't disappoint in flavour. I would highly recommend this beer to anyone who wants to try a craft beer at its best. The only negative I have is that it only comes in a 330ml and not 500ml, however its well worth the price.

Waggle Dance is a nice clean, crisp, refreshing beer that is nice on the palate and easy to drink. This is a smooth beer with a slight bitterness, however there is also a slight sweetness to the beer, due to the honey added. This beer leaves a slight hoppy after taste, however it is mellow and not over powering in the slightest.
